Midterm Project- "The Tale of Genji" Infographic

Makers Statement;

I chose "The Tale of Genji" as my story for this infographic. This was my favorite story out of all the ones we'd read thus far. I think the story is fascinating and distinct from the others. The issues that I had while creating this were that the information needed to be double checked and I needed to research more of the story to gain a better understanding. Since we only read a portion of the story, there is less information presented. The moral of the narrative is more difficult to describe because I have not read the entire story, but from what I have read, I believe it is about Genji's life and how he had contributed to his country and which left a big impact in Japan. As well as women not having much control over their lives and having to live by men. Women were not taken seriously and their opinions did not matter and they had no power to do anything or speak up for themselves.
